Analyze WooCommerce reviews
Core WooCommerce exports products, not reviews. Reviews are WordPress comments, and getting them out takes a plugin.
Free, no account. The label set starts on Ecommerce, which is the one that fits WooCommerce. Swap it or add your own above.

Getting the file
- 01Install an import/export plugin that handles reviews — WooCommerce's own docs point to the Import Export Suite for WooCommerce, which is paid.
- 02Export product reviews to CSV from that plugin.
- 03Upload the CSV here.
Before you trust the file
A file in hand is not the same as an answer. Below is what WooCommerce's export leaves out, what to do when it is not enough, and how its columns line up with the three the analyzer needs.
What to watch for
- The built-in Product CSV Importer and Exporter under Products → All Products → Export does products only. Reviews and star ratings are not part of it.
- Product Reviews Pro does not include an import or export tool either — its documentation suggests general WordPress comment plugins and says explicitly that WooCommerce does not endorse them.
- Because reviews are comments, the columns are comment columns: comment_ID, comment_author, comment_content. Map comment_content as the review text.
If that does not work
For a one-off look, copy the reviews out of WP Admin → Products → Reviews and paste them in. No plugin, no licence.
Mapping the columns
Expect comment_content for the body, a rating meta column, and comment_date. Blank ratings are normal — a WordPress comment on a product does not have to carry one.

What the analyzer looks for in WooCommerce reviews
Each review is checked against every label separately, and a label is attached when its probability is 0.65 or higher — so one review can be about two topics at once. The definitions below are the ones the model is given, word for word.
- Product quality
- The reviewer comments on how well made the item is — materials, finish, whether it works as described, or whether it arrived defective.
- Shipping & delivery
- The reviewer comments on how long delivery took, the carrier, tracking, or the state of the parcel on arrival. Damage caused in transit counts here as well as under quality.
- Price & value
- The reviewer comments on the price, on whether the item was worth what they paid, or on a discount or price change.
- Sizing & fit
- The reviewer comments on size, fit, or dimensions — runs small, runs large, does not match the size chart, does not fit the space or device it was bought for.
- Customer service
- The reviewer describes contact with the seller or support: response time, helpfulness, or being ignored.
- Packaging
- The reviewer comments on the packaging itself — how it was boxed, excess or insufficient material, presentation, or whether it was suitable for a gift.
- Returns & refunds
- The reviewer describes returning the item, requesting a refund or exchange, or the cost and difficulty of doing so.
- Durability
- The reviewer comments on how the item held up over time — broke after a period of use, wore out, or is still going strong after months.
How severity is scored
Severity rates the problem, not the wording. Reviews at 4 or above are counted as urgent.
- 1Positive or neutral feedback. Nothing is wrong and nothing needs fixing.
- 2A minor gripe stated in passing. The reviewer is broadly satisfied and would buy again.
- 3A real problem that annoyed the reviewer but did not stop them using what they bought.
- 4A significant problem: the item or app did not do what they needed, or they wasted real time or money on it.
- 5A severe problem. The reviewer was harmed, lost money they have not recovered, is warning other buyers off, or reports a safety or data issue.
What you get back
A summary counted in code — the sentiment split, topics ordered by how many negative or mixed reviews they hold, and three real quotes per topic — plus two downloads:
reviews-analyzed.csv— one row per review with 10 fixed columns, then a decision and a probability for every label.review-summary.json— the same summary the page shows, for your own reporting.- A needs-a-reply flag on each review, set when its probability is 0.5 or more, so the customers still waiting are not lost in the counts.
Questions about WooCommerce reviews
Can I export my WooCommerce reviews?
Core WooCommerce exports products, not reviews. Reviews are WordPress comments, and getting them out takes a plugin.
What if I cannot get a file out of WooCommerce?
For a one-off look, copy the reviews out of WP Admin → Products → Reviews and paste them in. No plugin, no licence.
Which columns should I map?
Expect comment_content for the body, a rating meta column, and comment_date. Blank ratings are normal — a WordPress comment on a product does not have to carry one.
How many WooCommerce reviews can I analyze for free?
Up to 30 pasted reviews per run, with no account. Larger files use prepaid credits, one per review, and the first reviews of any upload are previewed free.
Can I add my own topics?
Yes. Add up to 10 custom labels alongside the Ecommerce preset. Each one is asked as its own question, so it is counted the same way as a built-in label.
After the analysis
- How to prioritise negative reviews by severityNot every one-star review is urgent. Rank complaints by severity and how often they recur, so the fix list starts with what actually hurts.
- How to analyze thousands of customer reviews without reading them allTurning a pile of free-text reviews into counts you can act on: topics, severity, and the difference between a loud complaint and a common one.
- How to export product reviewsPlatform by platform: which stores offer a real review export, which do not, and what to do when there is no official route to your reviews.

All eight platforms, side by side
Every one was checked against its own documentation. The route is the finding, and the counts are how much there was to say about it. Two of the eight have no way out at all, which is worth knowing before you go looking.
