Terms of service

1. Who this is between

These terms are between you and SellerSort, which operates sellersort.com. Using the site or the tools means you accept them. If you are using them for a company, you are confirming you can accept them on that company’s behalf.

2. What the tools do, and what they do not promise

The tools classify text. A category, a sentiment, a topic, a severity: each one is a judgement made by a model, returned with a probability that reflects how sure it was. They are useful because they are right far more often than not and because they tell you when they are unsure. They are not oracles.

Concretely:

  • We do not guarantee any particular result is correct. Every output carries a confidence figure, and low-confidence results are separated out specifically so you can check them.
  • We do not guarantee any outcome in Google Merchant Center, Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft or anywhere else. We do not control those systems, their policies or their review processes. Nothing here is a promise about approval, ranking, traffic or revenue.
  • google_product_category is an optional Merchant Center attribute and Google assigns a category automatically. A value from these tools is a value for you to submit, not an instruction Google must follow.
  • You remain responsible for what you submit to third-party platforms, including whether it complies with their policies.

Check the output before you act on it, particularly for anything that goes into a feed unexamined. That is why the low-confidence rows come out as their own file.

3. Credits

  • Credits are prepaid. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
  • One credit is one distinct product row, or one review.
  • Identical products are charged once. A catalog with the same product in twelve variants costs one credit for that product.
  • Credits do not expire.
  • Credits are not money, cannot be transferred between accounts, and have no cash value.
  • If a row or review fails, the credit for it is refunded automatically. Something we could not deliver is something you do not pay for.
  • The ledger is append-only and visible on your account page. Your balance is the sum of it.

Refunds of unused credits are covered separately in the refund policy.

4. Payments

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record. They take the payment, add any sales tax or VAT required for your location, and issue the receipt. Their terms apply to the payment itself. We never see your card details.

5. Your files and your content

Your data stays yours. You grant us only what is needed to run the job you asked for: to store the file, send the relevant text to the classification model, and produce and store your output.

  • Files are limited to 20MB and 50,000 rows.
  • Uploaded files and generated output are deleted 7 days after the job completes. Download what you need before then; we cannot recover a deleted file.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload personal data you are not entitled to process.

The privacy policy describes exactly what is sent where.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Try to get around the rate limits, the free-tier caps or the abuse controls, including by rotating IP addresses or accounts.
  • Resell access to the tools, or run them as a backend for your own product, without a written agreement.
  • Upload content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to process.
  • Probe, scan or attack the service, or attempt to access another account’s data.
  • Use the tools to produce content that misrepresents your products to a third-party platform.

We may suspend an account that does these things. If we suspend an account for abuse, unused credits are refundable at our discretion; spent credits are not, because the work has been done.

7. Availability

There is no uptime guarantee. The tools depend on a third-party model, and when it is unavailable the tools are degraded or unavailable too. A job interrupted mid-run resumes rather than restarting, and you are not charged twice for the same work.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost traffic, or for decisions made by third-party platforms about your products.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. Substantive changes are dated at the top of this page. If a change materially reduces what you get for credits you have already bought, you may ask for those unused credits back.

Prices can change. A change never affects credits you have already purchased.

10. Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account, as the privacy policy describes. We may end your access for a breach of section 6.
